Recently, I had the opportunity to meet several of the candidates running for state Senate. After careful consideration I will be voting for Sue Chalifoux Zephir.
I appreciated Sue's direct, nonpolitical, nonevasive responses to my questions and her responses to the questions of others in attendance. She was able to look me in the eye and respond truthfully, a trait I value and I think most would find refreshing from anyone seeking higher office.
Sue is the most experienced candidate running for the Senate. She has always supported the community and working families. We need a state senator that is ready for the job on the first day of work. Sue is the only candidate committed to working families who has demonstrated this by her commitment to livable wages and family medical leave.
I appreciate that Sue is running on her own merits and experience. She comes from working roots, knows business, is educated, experienced, and is committed to the needs of people.
I met Sue for the first time a few weeks ago. She demonstrated to me in a very short time her commitment, dedication, skill at working with others and in obtaining results. I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to meet and discuss real-life issues facing the people of Massachusetts and the nation.
When Sue asked me for my vote it was easy to say ":yes." I want the most qualified, experienced, knowledgeable candidate representing me in the state Senate. I hope others take the time to get to know Sue and consider her record, values and experience.
