I'm convinced candidate Susan Chalifoux Zephir, if elected, will restore that drive for caring, hard work, dedication, bipartisanship, trust, constituent community meeting, and economic development plans for the Worcester and Middlesex Senate District that once flourished when that seat was held by my late honorable friend Sen. Mary Padula.
It's a great honor for me to endorse candidate Chalifoux Zephir to be your next senator to go to Beacon Hill and serve this great district. It's her desire to go to Beacon Hill and be a leader bringing goods and services back to your district in the formula of assistance for better education, senior housing, council on aging, highway and bridge repair, clean water, veterans benefits, and returning programs to help our disabled veterans with employment and medical treatments; in addition, to keeping her eyes on state spending, waste, cherry sheet, and whether the Massachusetts State Lottery is giving the right amount of money to the 351 cities and towns yearly. There are a few entities in this state like the Mass. Lottery, Mass. Turnpike, and Mass. sales tax that are great producers of monies, and we need a candidate like Chalifoux Zephir up on Beacon Hill checking and ensuring that the state is getting its right share of monies.
We need a leader that will speak up and fight for this district by working with the governor and other officials to help the needs in this district and that candidate is Mrs. Chalifoux Zephir. There's no doubt that she will represent some of our most vulnerable citizens like our schoolchildren, seniors, the blind and veterans. As a proud family business owner of carrying on Ginny's Helping Hand community services, she understands people.
