Our area is fortunate to have several good people step forward to run for the now vacant state Senate seat. They are all to be commended for their willingness to commit to public service.
I have known Sue Chalifoux Zephir and her family for over 40 years. She has always been engaged in community life and has, by background and education, outstanding qualifications to represent our area as our next state senator.
Sue’s work on the Leominster City Council for nine years and her notable community service activities, including being executive director of Ginny’s Helping Hand and on the boards of Our Father’s House, the Leominster Education Foundation and the Leominster Public Library, have given her a unique understanding of the needs and concerns of the people of the Montachusett Region.
Most recently, I have served as a volunteer at Ginny’s and have been impressed with Sue’s genuine concern for those who need help and how she ensures that they receive it with compassion and without question.
Sue Chalifoux Zephir will bring her knowledge, compassion and commitment to effectively represent our area in the Mass. State Senate.
