As I watch what is going on in Washington, D.C., on a daily basis, I remind myself that politics is local and what happens in Boston can affect our lives just as much if not more. For that reason, I have chosen to support and vote for Sue Chalifoux Zephir, a candidate for state senate. Sue has a proven track record of helping the community in so many ways, from being executive director at Ginny’s Helping Hand and serving for 12 years as a councilor at-large in her hometown of Leominster.
Also, I know that Sue will support issues that I am concerned about such as green and living-wage jobs for central Massachusetts, access to health care, public education funding and sensible gun legislation. When I learned that our current senator voiced his opposition to the Red Flag Gun Control Bill that recently passed in the State House with bi-partisan support, I was disappointed for sure. When I go to his website to find out where he stands on the issues, I get no information.
Please check out Sue’s website at suechalifouxzephir.com to learn more and to see where she stands on the issues. I think you will be pleased.
